Centro Storico

The Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and Uffizi are all here. Dense with tourists but utterly essential — best on foot. (Our home base.)

Oltrarno

Florence's artisan quarter, "beyond the Arno." La Casalinga is here. More authentic, fewer tourists — worth crossing the bridge for.

San Lorenzo

Mercato Centrale and the San Lorenzo leather market — street food, leather goods, and the Medici neighborhood.
